Fantastic Two 220v Outlets On One Breaker
Do the same to the top 2 screws keeping the same color wire on each side and run that top connection to your next receptacle and repeat.
Two 220v outlets on one breaker. Now a solution you can put in a secondary 208 220 240v breaker box on that circuit where you wanted to split it to two separate appliance circuits putting in new breakers sized for the individual runs. Can these receptacles placed in a double outlet box. All devices will be rated at the max 125v 250v.
This would defeat the purpose since only half the current could go down each breaker. Tester101 jun 22 12 at 20 41 show 1 more comment. The outlet will be rated at 250v this does not mean you ll actually have 250v at the receptacle.
I have a 3hp 220 tablesaw running on a separate 30amp breaker. This is what is done for hot tubs for instance commonly a 30 50a double breaker at the main panel or at the outside meter base leading to another breaker box near the hot tub with two or three breakers one for heater one for pump and controls and maybe one for lighting each. Can i in effect put a splitter on that outlet and run a 16 000 btu window.
Can i also use 12 2 cable. Two of the circuits have two outlets each on separate sides of the garage while the third has a single outlet for the dust collector. Or should i use 12 3.
Yes even if they are continuous loads 16 amps would be allowed. 1 of 2 go to page. And they would all have to be interconnected so turning one off turns off all breakers on one circuit.
